So, after years, and I mean
yeeeeears of ogling Pampered Chef products, I finally have my own products! ANot only do I have some of the best kitchen products out there, I am a Consultant! (Yes, I'm excited!)
With that said, I wanted to make something that I could use quite a bit of my new gadgets. I found this recipe through a Facebook friend,
Portia de Moncur, and decided to give it a go. The
Apple-Pecan Upside Down Cake was super easy to make, and let me tell you, it smells delicious!
My mom, when she first saw the finished cake said "WOW!" Surprise and awe was evident in her voice, if I didn't know any better, I might have been offended. She was the first to dig in. My dad, he thought it was so good, he had two pieces. Let's just say, he can be a little, um, what's a nice word, finicky. Yes. He can be finicky sometimes.
Thank you
Rosie's Country Baking for this amazing recipe! Be sure to stop by her blog for more delicious recipes, I know that I will be! I would not of come across this if not for
The Country Cook, so thank you, and thank you Portia!
So Let's Begin With Foodie Friday
- I'm using the 2qts. Classic Batter Bowl (#2431 ), which is the 'for reals' do it all bowl, to let my butter get down to room temp. Bowls and lids are dishwasher-freezer safe, and bowls are oven-safe up to 350degrees.
- I'm using the 2 Cup Easy Read Measuring Cup (#2175) for my sugar. All sizes are dishwasher-microwave safe, no drip, and easy to read.
- I'm mixing it together with the Small Mix 'N Scraper (#1659), that won't crack, burn, melt, or stain! Shocking I know, but it's true!
- This is the Mini Measure-All Cup (#2236), and I love it!! No more scraping to get all of the sour cream out...I just push the bottom, and it pops right out!
- I'm using one of the Small Bamboo Spoons (#2047), set of two, for my sour cream.
- The Measuring Spoon Set (#2308) is just brilliant! They actually fit inside your spice bottles. I know, it's not rocket science, but do you know how efficient these spoons are!
- This is the Forged Cutlery 5" Utility Knife(#1052). I know, I didn't really need the big guns, but I wanted to use everything that I could! This baby is sharp, so be careful, it's not like I cut my thumb or anything....
- I'm slicing the butter on my dishwasher-safe Cutting Board (#1012) that grips the counter, so no more slipping.
- The sturdy Executive 8" Saute Pan (2863), even heat distribution, durable, oven-safe up to 400degrees, and a LIFETIME Guarantee!
- 1 Cup Prep Bowls (#1825), perfect for, um, prepping! Great little gifts, too, just fill with candies, etc.
- I used the Simple Slicer (#1099) to slice my apples. I used setting number 2. Simple to use and easy clean up.
I enjoyed baking with you today! If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I added all of the items numbers for the products used for easy reference.
May you have a Pampered Day!
